Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy covers the information we collect through denizenblu.com, the Denizen Blu API, the web playground, and our identity-verification flow. It doesn't cover third-party sites we link to, or the privacy practices of the publishers of the open-weight Catalog Models we host — see our Terms of Service for how those models fit into the Service.
2. Collection of information
We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you interact with us:
- Identity and Contact Data — your name, email, and company, when you sign up for interest updates, request a seat, or submit a sales inquiry.
- Verification Data — legal name, date of birth, country of residence, and a government-issued ID, collected during KYC so that unmetered seats stay mapped to real, individual people. Business accounts also provide their legal entity name and jurisdiction.
- Inputs and Outputs — the prompts and files you submit to the API or playground ("Inputs") and the content generated in response ("Outputs"), along with request metadata such as which model was called, routing and timing information, and token-volume estimates. This powers billing-relevant Fair Use tracking and the per-request receipts available at
/v1/receipts/{request_id}. We don't use the content of your Inputs or Outputs to train models without your separate, explicit consent. - Payment Information — handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive confirmation of your subscription and billing status, not your full card number.
- Feedback — whatever you choose to include when you submit the feedback form, which may optionally include your name and email.
- Technical Information — standard web request metadata (IP address, browser type, timestamps) collected by our hosting infrastructure for security and operability, not for advertising.
3. Uses of information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and bill for the Service, including routing your API requests to the right model and infrastructure;
- Verify your identity and enforce the one-seat-per-person basis our Fair Use model depends on;
- Respond to feedback, support, and sales inquiries;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with applicable law, including tax and export-control obligations; and
- Improve the Service — for example, understanding aggregate usage patterns to plan capacity.
4. Recipients & third parties
We don't sell your personal information. We disclose it only to:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — for example, Stripe for payments, our cloud/hosting and database providers, and an identity-verification provider for KYC;
- Recipients where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Denizen Blu, our users, or the public;
- A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same commitments described here; or
- Any other recipient with your consent, for a purpose we've disclosed to you at the time.
5. Rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, reach us through /feedback — we'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. Deleting information tied to an active subscription or unresolved billing dispute may require closing your account first.
6. Data transfers
We're based in the United States, and information we collect may be processed and stored there or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for transferring information across borders.
7. Retention & security
We keep account, billing, and identity-verification records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Inputs, Outputs, and other usage metadata backing Fair Use tracking and receipts are retained for the period needed to support billing disputes and abuse investigation, after which they're deleted or aggregated so they no longer identify you.
We encrypt data in transit and apply access controls appropriate to its sensitivity — Verification Data and Payment Information receive the strictest handling. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
8. Cookies
We use a single functional cookie to keep an administrator signed in to our internal dashboard — nothing else on the site sets cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we'll update this section first.
9. Children
The Service isn't directed at, and we don't knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18 — consistent with the account-eligibility requirement in our Terms of Service. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at /feedback and we'll remove it.
10. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or a similar framework applies, we process your information under one or more of these legal bases: contract (processing necessary to provide the Service you've signed up for, including Verification Data used to enforce Fair Use); legitimate interests (securing the Service, preventing abuse, and improving it, balanced against your rights); legal obligation (tax, accounting, and export-control compliance); and consent, where we ask for it separately — for example, before using your Inputs or Outputs to improve our models.
11. Policy changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we'll post an update here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
